I don't mean to have a blog to just rant on when I'm upset but CBS is doing a horrendous job today covering this tournament. I get to watch the "most boring close game" of all-time between Western Kentucky and San Diego. There definitely is a reason these teams were seeded 12th and 13th respectively. They're really bad. With five minutes left, this game is in favor of WKU by seven points. With SECONDS left in Tennessee/Butler it's a tie game! Take me to that game CBS! The Tennessee/Butler game was close the ENTIRE second half, WKU/SD wasn't close until about 4 minutes left. CBS would go to the Tenn/Butler game during WKU/SD timeouts and then leave once the timeout finished. Shame on you CBS, get your act together because if you're going to cover the greatest postseason tournament in sports you need to do a better job than this.
I missed the entire overtime between Tenn/Butler to see a nine point win by Western Kentucky. I missed the entire Davidson/G'Town game (decided by four points thanks to GREAT play by Stephen Curry, who really might be NBA ready, he's that good), to see a nine point win by Western Kentucky.
Let's compare the fanbases of WKU/San Diego to Tenn/Butler OR Georgetown/Davidson. CBS you should show the games that people actually care about! Or maybe, games that matter for peoples brackets. The number of people who's bracket hinges on the outcome of WKU/San Diego is barely anybody! The people who's bracket hinges Tenn/Butler OR Georgetown/Davidson was a TON of people. This is an embarrassment.
Regional coverage? No, that's not the case. There have been so many games this tournament that CBS has left (even though it was my "regional game") to go to another game, NOT TODAY! I've never been so upset about the coverage of an event. I hope all 100 Western Kentucky fans are happy that their Hilltoppers won today. I, along with probably over 90% of America, could really care less. Oh, a 12 seed is going to the Sweet Sixteen! I didn't need to see that horrendous "basketball" game - if you want to call it that - to care, because I wouldn't have either way.
Another awful CBS college basketball game occurred on February 23. Thank goodness I was at Rupp Arena that Saturday, because CBS, with about 30 seconds left in a very tight UK/Ark game, went to Duke v. Saint John's! I had to do my best Gus Johnson imitation and give play-by-play over my phone to my friend who unfortunately missed the game thanks to those great people at CBS. They came back to UK/Ark with about 15 seconds left and many crucial plays already missed. Maybe you guys need a new Producer or Director or whoever's job it is to run your college basketball coverage, because he/she is terrible at their job.
P.S. - One Shining Moment is overrated and dumb.

I'll never watch another CBS sporting event or buy ANY product advertised by CBS. I hope the producer of Sunday's fiasco will get fired, but then he's probably somebody'e nephew which is how he got the job to begin with. Pretty soon the three major networks will be history, and with this kind of programming, it can't be soon enough to suit me!!!!!!
That bad Western Kentucky team, as you call them, may beat UCLA.
What will that do for your bracket?
abc and espn will buy the tournament w/in a couple years and you will get coverage on practically every channel on TV
